Proximedia Group financial statement concerning sales and services 2009
Proximedia, « Company of the Year 2009 », lives up to its reputation
Buoyed by 22 half-years of uninterrupted growth, the group is forging ahead with its development through its various subsidiaries, many of which are leaders on their market segment.
The Proximedia group, Belgium’s leading interactive communication group, which also has a foothold in the Netherlands and in France, generated operating income worth over EUR 44 million in 2009, up by 32% on its 2008 figures (EUR 33.3 million).
The group’s biggest company, which still serves as its driving force, Proximedia Belgium, is going from strength to strength with an operating income of EUR 21.7 million, up 10% compared with 2008.
Proximedia Nederland for its part posted slight growth at EUR 5 million.
The decision-makers have clearly understood that this is very much the era of audiovisual communication on the Internet, prompting Bezoom, the subsidiary specialising in video production, to practically double its year on year sales figures, notching up sales of EUR 11.1 million compared with EUR 5.8 million in 2008. Bezoom France has also seen its sales grow by over 100%, generating operating income of EUR 2.2 million.
2009 also witnessed the launch of Bezoom USA and the first contracts signed by its Washington branch.
Globule Bleu, which targets the “key accounts” market, also saw its sales spiral to EUR 3.7 million in 2009, up by 19% on 2008 (EUR 3.1 million).
Last but not least, Online Internet launched a new business activity half way through 2009, focusing on on-line marketing for SME through the optimisation of internet referencing and promotional campaigns (e-couponing). This concept, baptised « BeUP », is getting off to an extremely promising start, whipping up turnover of EUR 1.8 million, up 62% on the 2008 figures.
For more than 11 years, Proximedia has understood and anticipated the needs of the self-employed, of liberal professions, of SME and VSE. It has also cornered the key account market by honing its skills in this area. No other Belgian group is in a position today to offer such an extensive and flexible range of Internet services.
Web communication is very much the future for companies. However, it is a moving target, with new services coming onto the market every day. Proximedia will continue, as it has done from the outset, to build on its range of solutions to meet the new needs of these companies.
At the end of March, Proximedia will publish the full results of its last financial year, which closed on 31 December 2009.
